Seen any movies lately?

Ok since we don't have cable there is nothing to watch during the day. SOO we signed up for the MVP program at Hollywood where we can rent any MVP or older shelved movie, renting 3 at a time. I have been in a weird foreign typs of mood and recently discovered an actor name Gael García Bernal who is a famous actor from Mexico.

They were all pretty good. Some people may not like them because they may not be your style. Sometimes I get into a weird movie faze and want to watch every movie a certain actor/actress has been in. I have this goal to watch every movie ever made since I was born. Pretty weird Huh?! lol I guess that is why I have my degree in Media Production aka Movie Junkie.

Oh and if you haven't seen it I suggest watching Elizabethtown. It is pretty good and Orlando Bloom isn't bad to look at either.

Nice outside...how long will it last?

Its Feb 21st and it is 75 degrees outside. I fed the kids lunch outside on the deck earlier today and Korben and I did his homeowrk out there a well. He seemed a bit calmer outside in the fresh air. He can get soooo ticked off and frustrated when doing his homework.
I've been doing pretty good over here as of late. I am so ready to quit babysitting but I can hold off until the 3rd week in May. The last week in May we will be leaving for our Canada trip. Kids and all.
I like the money I get for sitting but seriously I don't get paid enough for what I deal with. I can't go anywhere during the day, like run errands to get groceries. I will not take two kids 2 and almost 3 years old in a store with me. I have enough trouble with an almost 8 year old and a 2 year old. So I can't wait till I am done and I can take MY kids anywhere during the summer like to the Splash Pad and the Library for story time or even just to walk to the park without having to take two strollers. PLUS I can go to Ohio and visit anytime, as long as you all want us up there. ;o)
I am thinking about going to my step-brothers wedding in June. Its in VA, so Nancy said maybe the kids and I can come up the week before and then leave with them. Meet half way like we usually do. Matt would love to take off but I think he has already taken off two of his days and he was wanting to take off a Friday during the summer to head to FL for a weekend. He really wants Julianna to see the beach.
Well I need to update the kids blog and hopefully get the pictures up there that I have been promising for two weeks now.

Well we got snow Thursday (dusting) and Friday about 3 inches. It was nice while it lasted. The last of the snow melted today since it got up to 51. Sorry all to my family members in Ohio who are suffering with that darn artic cold blast. I don't think I could handle single digits and below zero temps. I will have the snow pictures up on the kids blog sometime this week.
We are expecting guests on Thursday. Our friends from Alabama (The Reaves family) will be coming up. Thursday night we will be going to the Predators (NFL HOCKEY) game in NAshville. My friend Tracy offered to watch Julianna. Thank GOD! I tell ya She is such a handful and she stresses MAtt and I both out when we are out in public and she wants to go somewhere or have something. The high pitched screams could break glass I swear! On Friday Korben has a half a day of School and I am going to help out in his classroom for a little while that morning. Then either Friday afternoon or Saturday we were talking about taking our guest and kids to the Adventure Science Center. We were going to go to the Nashville Zoo but it will be too cold and they will only bring out certain animals when its cold.
The house is super quiet....and both kids are up. Gotta go and see what is going on.

Someone is turning TWO!

Well my little baby girl will be 2 years old tomorrow! Its so crazy how time flies. Doesn't everyone say that about birthdays though?!?

Julianna is such a mixture. She loves her babydolls but also loves her Spiderman. She would be happy playing in a pile of dirt and combing her barbie's hair. She loves to watch football and to dance to Pink.

We are having Matt's parents down, along with his two brothers, godfather and I think his aunt and uncle on Saturday. I will be making a cake and we will be getting Little Ceasers to munch on. We gave her one of her presents on last Saturday and will be giving her the other one tomorrow. Nothing too big though. She would rather play with paper than anything. LOVES to rip it and if there is a pen near by....draw on it. That girl LOVES to draw...just like her big brother!

I hate trying to figure out a title!

Tomorrow we will be leaving to go to my parents house in O-H-I-O. Korben can not wait...and either can I. I will FINALLY meet my baby neice that I haven't seen in real life yet. Woo Hoo! We will have a little get together on Saturday evening so we can celebrate Julianna's birthday with my family. Her birthday isn't till Dec. 2nd but I figure while we are up there, they can help celebrate a week early. I am sure she won't mind. ;o)
I need to finish our laundry then pack our clothes for our trip. But I need to go to the store first and buy Julianna a birthday present that she can open up in Ohio and one for my nephew who will be two on Dec. 17th. I also want to get my nephews one more present for Christmas. I am bringing all of their gifts up there, save me on shipping them.
Sunday we will be back home. Hopefully before dinner. We will see what itme we can wake up and get going. Usually we pack the car the night before, saves us an hour of rest.

Ok So I need to update!

Yeah, its been a while. Sorry for the delay. We have been busy every weekend and it seems like I can't take a quick breather to update here. So let me see....What have you all missed since the last post.
Halloween! Kids had fun. I pushed Julianna in her stroller. The first two houses (My neighbors and her neighbor)I let Julianna walk up and get some goodies. Well the second house she walks right into the house. I didn't even know the guy. As soon as we got her, she was put into the stroller for the rest of the time. Korben got 2 big bag fulls of candy. We are STILL eating it all. I swear we will have candy left over till Easter!
Cub Scouts is doing good too! I am still the Wolf Den Leader. This month their theme is Cubs in Shining Armor. Last monday we made shields and they decorated them. All the boys seemed to really enjoy it. I am not sure what craft we will be doing tomorrow. Maybe making 'castle towers' out of plastic bottles and using them to make a bowling game. Have to see what bottles I have in the recycle bags.
This year we are going to Ohio for Thanksgiving. We will be leaving here at 4pm on Wednesday and arriving there around midnight. I will finally meet my 'step' sister in law Donna. And she will finally meet the crazy kids. haha
I am going to have a super small birthday party/gathering for Julianna's 2nd Birthday. Since her birthday is on Dec. 2nd and none of my relatives can really celebrate with us, I figure I will get her a small cake and have her open a few gifts while we are there. We are also going to give our nephews and niece their Christmas gifts since I already have them. Its easier to just give them then to mail them around the holidays.
I just noticed I wrote mostly about the kids. I should have put this in their blog. Oh well.
Oh I want to say HELLO!!!! to my Two Aunts. NAncy told me that Amber hooked you two up and now you can read what is going on here in TN. Oh and don't mind Matt's language in his blog. He didn't know anyone but his buddies were reading it. oops!

It is so nice....

to FINALLY hear Julianna say "Mommie". I've been waiting forever for her to pronouce it. Now for her to actually say it when she wants my attention. I asked her who Mommie is and she pointed to me. =o)

Its getting cold!!

My new Food Obsession.....String Cheese, Pepperoni and Multi-Grain Club crackers. I eaten this for lunch alost everyday for the past month. They are so good together that I can't stop eating them.

Both kiddos are sound asleep. We went to the neighborhood park this morning. It was quite cold but I don't think the kids even cared. They were running all over the place acting crazy. I met a fellow mom out there with her two kids. Her youngest and Julianna ended up finding a nice wet mud puddle. She was covered in mud close to her knees. I have her shoes, socks and pants soaking right now. She had fun and that is all that matters. I had some adult convo which was SOOO needed.

I am slowly getting in to the Christmas spirit this year. Last year I wasn't into it at all. Having to budget super hard for Christmas puts you in no mood. We have already gotten a few things for the kids and one for my neice. Toys R Us was/is having a good special. Buy one toy for $19.99 or more get another toy free at equal or lesser value. This year I can also buy Matt a few things. I hate using the money he earns to buy him gifts. Since I babysit during the week I have money that I earned and feel great buying him something with it.

Brr its cold and I need to get my sweater back on. Who knows when I will update again. I read my blogs every day but never have much to say on my own.

Crazy last weeks

Ok my weeks have been a bit crazy and I haven't felt like updating. Yesterday we had our first Cub Scout meeting. It went alright. We were put into a room with couches so the boys didn't have a good surface to do their crafts on. But I think the boys enjoyed themselves and the adults got more information on what will be going on and such. Next week the boys will be setting down the rules for the den. Of course I will have to OK them before they are written down. I need to find a recipe that has some type of zoo animal in the title and I don't have to use an oven. We have a microwave on hand at the church (where the meetings are). I looked on the PBSkids website at the show ZOOM and found just a couple things. I have to wait to see if any of the boys have food allergies and then we can move on.

Glad its Friday

We are not doing too much over the holiday weekend. Mostly catching up on house stuff (yard work and cleaning alot). Matt was talking about going to the Memphis Zoo on Sunday but we really don't have the extra cash for it. Our luck, some mysterious bill will be in the mail on wednesday and we won't have any money left for food for the week. I hate mysterious bills.
Kids are doing well. Julianna is being a big stinker and causing havok when I am sitting the little boy I watch. She likes to go up to him and pull his shirt, which results in him pushing her away and then her screaming at him. But the cutest thing she does is give him a kiss and a hug after nap time. He absolutly hates it. The kid doesn't like to be touched. Oh and Julianna also likes to steal his food during snack time. i give them both the same thing. She doesn't like to touch her food, but loves his plate! weirdo.

Not Much to Say

I really don't have much to say today. Just trying to stay sane, even though I feel like I am going INsane. Julianna is constantly taking her diapers off in the past week. She is in cloth diapers and they have snaps to them, they are fairly hard to take off but she succeeds somehow. Right now I put her in some cloth raining pants and put her Elmo potty in the front hallway. Its linoleum so it will be easy to clean up if anything DOES happen. I don't have my fingers crossed.

Is it REALLY Friday?

Wow, Friday is finally here! I am so happy that the weekend is near. We have a busy day tomorrow. Birthday Party at 1pm then Korben has his Cub Scout Picnic at 3pm. He is going to be exhausted. lol I don't htink I will be bring Julianna to the birthday party. She can't still still for anything and her and Daddy need some time together.
Kids are napping right now so I finally have time to myself for a bit. The 5 year old is eating his lunch. That kid can talk nonstop about anything. I was trying to read a few pages in my book earlier and he kept talking about these Star Wars guys. At least he will have another big kid to play with when Korben gets home at 3pm.
The day is going super slow, I hate that. I have to get to the store today at some point. Might take the kids for some Subway (I have a card that I get a free 6 inch with a purchase of one). Then off to the store for some groceries, doorknob covers (cause of Ms. Julianna) and a birthday present. Oh crap I have to figure out what dish to bring to the picnic on Saturday.

Yucky Morning

Today looks like its going to be a crappy morning. Its 8:30am and it looks like sunrise outside. Its so dark and gloomy. Yuck!
Julianna is in her room playing with my old barbie dolls. She loves the Skipper doll and her friend. I am still watching the two boys, D & D. One is 6 and the other 2 1/2. The 6 year old fell asleep watching Star Wars cartoon. The 2 1/2 year old is playing with Julianna and probably teaching her bad things. Like getting into the fridge and pulling everything off the door shelves. They have already done that today. Did it 3 times yesterday.
Korben is in school. He seems to like it I guess. I mean usually the first day is getting to know people in your class and learning about all the rules. He came home with a "Get to Know Me" paper to fill out and a brown lunch bag that he filled up with things that are about him. He put in there his Tiger Cub neckerchif and a marker and a crayon (since he likes to draw), A old Walmart gift card with Superman symbol on it and two photos of his family. He also came home with a little bag of candy that his teacher gave him.
I already have dinner ready for today. I am making Zesty Meatball sandwiches. Made the meatballs from scratch and will be putting them into the crockpot around 10am. They smell really good. I am trying to train myself to make at least 3 dinners monday through friday. It is hard just to grab stuff and feed the kids and not really have any meals planned when Matt works during dinner time.
Speaking of Matt he went to the doctors yesterday. He had a cyst removed from his lower back. He was in some pain yesterday so I took care of him off and on when he needed it. He went back tot eh Drs this morning for a quick check up and another bandage.

HAha!! SO I grossed out my husband with the last post. Too funny. I replied to him that he doesn't wear them or wash them so he doesn't have any opinion. Of course he said the samething about Julianna wearing cloth diapers at 8 months old. Now I don't think he minds them as much.

Korben has his best bud over for the night. This is his first time having one over. He got all excited when I pulled out the sleeper sofa. Right now they are watching Star Wars. They are little SW geeks already. Hopefully they pass out soon, as with Julianna. She hasn't been going to bed smoothly like a month ago. We use to be able to lay her down in her bed with big Elmo and she wouldn't fuss at all. Now. FORGET it! She will scream and pound on her door if you put her down for the night. She can't seem to get settled. It might be that we don't have a cartain bedtime routine going on. Our daytime routine is fine, mostly because I sit a boy during the day and schedule a good nap in between snack and lunch time. I just hope something changes soon. going to bed after 11pm and getting up at 5:30am during the week is killing me.
